Removal and Installation
Cooling Fan Assembly
1.
Disconnect the battery terminals.
2.
Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")
3.
Disconnect the air duct(A).

4.
Disconnect the coolingfan connector(A).

5.
Disconnect the vacuum hose(A).

6.
Remove the front bumper cover. (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Cover")
7.
Remove the intake shield(A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

8.
Loosen the mounting bolts and then remove the cooling fan(A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

9.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Resistor
1.
Disconnect the coolingfan connector(A).

2.
Remove the resistor (A) from the cooling fan shroud.
Tightening torque :
1.8 ~ 2.4 N.m (0.18 ~ 0.25 kgf.m, 1.3 ~ 1.8 lb-ft)

3.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Disassembly
1.
Remove the cooling fan (A) from the cooling fan assembly.
Tightening torque:
5.2 ~ 7.5 N.m (0.53 ~ 0.78 kgf.m, 3.83 ~ 5.53 lb-ft)
2.
Remove the cooling fan motor cover(A).
Tightening torque:
2.1 ~ 3.6 N.m (0.2 ~ 0.36 kgf.m, 1.5 ~ 2.6 lb-ft)

3.
Remove the cooling fan motor(A).
Tightening torque:
3.7 ~ 4.0 N.m (0.37 ~ 0.4 kgf.m, 2.72 ~ 2.95 lb-ft

4.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Inspection
Fan Motor
1.
Disconnect the fan motor connector from the resistor.
2.
Connect the battery voltage to the "+" terminal and ground to " - " terminal.
3.
Check the cooling fan motor operates well.
