Components and Components Location

Repair procedures

Replacement

1.	Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds.

2.	Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels can face straight ahead.

3.	Remove the airbag module.

Remove the DAB module.

(1)	Disconnect the air bag connector (A).

(2)	Disconnect the horn connector (B).

(3)	Remove the clip (C).

Loosen the steering wheel lock bolt properly. Separate the steering wheel by using SST(09561-11001).

Tightening torque :

39.2 ~ 49.0 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.0 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 36.2 lb-ft)

6.	Loosen the steering wheel lock bolt completely, remove the steering wheel.

7.	Installation is the reverse of the removal.

Disassembly

1.	Disconnect the steering wheel remote switch connector (A) & (B).

2.	Loosen the screw and then remove the lower cover.

3.	Seperate the remote control switch from the steering wheel.

4.	Reassembly is reverse of the disassembly.

Heated Steering wheel Description and Operation

Description

Heated pads to grip the steering grip makes the fever.

Operation

The push-return switch transmits signals to the steering wheel heating module.

Pressing the switch on once repeatedly cycles the unit between the ON and OFF modes.

If the power is cut off during operation, the switch is reset to off status.

Therefore steering wheel heating module is initialized to off status.

Heated Steering wheel Repair procedures

Inpection

Measure a resistance of NTC and Heated pad.

A.	NTC resistance(Black / Yellow, Black) - 10.0 k? ± 10% (25°C)

B.	Heated pad resistance (Yellow, Black) - 1.6 ~ 2.0 ? ± 10%

Measure a temperature.

A.	The temperature of wheel surface grip must rise from -20°C to 20°C within 6 minute

B.	The temperature of wheel surface grip must keep 38°C ± 4°C after 25 minute

C.	At that time switch on, all measure point (1~8)
