Hyundai Sonata LF 2014-2019 Service Manual / Body (Interior and Exterior) / Hood / Hood Latch Repair procedures

Replacement

1.	Remove the front bumper. (Refer to Front bumper - "Front bumper cover")

2.	Remove the head lamps [RH]. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Head Lamps")

3.	Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the wiring mounting clips.

4.	Remove the hood latch (A) mounting bolts.

5.	Disconnect the hood latch cable (A) and remove the hood lower latch assembly (B).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Make sure the hood latch release cable is connected properly.

•	Make sure the hood locks / unlocks and opens / closes properly.

•	Adjust the latch alignment.
