Disconnect the smart cruise control switch connector from the control switch.

| 2. |
Measure resistance between terminals on the control switch when each function switch is ON (switch is depressed).
|
| 3. |
If not within specification, replace switch. |
| Removal |
| 1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| 2. |
Remove the steering wheel assembly.
(Refer to Steering System - "Steering Wheel") |
| 3. |
Remove the screw from the steering cover.

| 4. |
Remove the steering back cover (A).
|
| 5. |
Remove the steering remote control connector (A).
|
| 6. |
Remove the steering remote control (A) after loosening the screw.
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal. |

To operate:
Press the BSD switch with the Engine Start/Stop button in the ON position. The
indicator illuminates on the switch. If vehicle speed exceeds 20 mph (30km/h) the
system will activate.
