Hyundai Sonata: Evaporative Emission Control System / Fuel Tank Air Filter Repair procedures

Replacement
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2.
Lift the vehicle.
3.
Remove the rear-left wheel & tire and house cover.
4.
Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).
5.
Disconnect the vapor hose (B).
6.
Remove installation bolts (A) and then remove the fuel tank air filter.

7.
Release the lever (A), and then separate the canister close valve (B) from the fuel tank air filter (C) after rotating it in the direction of the arrow in the figure.

8.
Install a new fuel tank air filter.
